Step 2: Make the filling

In a separate bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped shrimp, minced garlic, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, salt, white pepper, cornstarch, and vegetable oil. Mix well until all the ingredients are well combined.

Step 3: Shape the dimsum

Divide the dough into small pieces (around 20g each). Roll each piece into thin circles (around 3 inches in diameter). Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the edges of the circle towards the center to seal and create a small pouch. Repeat until all the dough and filling are used up.

Step 4: Steam the dimsum

Place the dimsum in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops of the dimsum with beaten egg. Steam the dimsum for around 15 minutes or until cooked through.
